Police Sergeant Blows Twice the Legal Alcohol Limit

Posted:

DeWitt Township Police say an off-duty Lansing Police Sergeant blew twice the legal limit on a breathalyzer test, which qualifies for prosecution under the state's "super drunk" law.

Investigators say Sergeant Todd Johnson blew a 0.17.

He was arrested August 23rd at about 3:30p.m. after he crashed into a cargo truck at the intersection of Chandler and State roads.

Johnson was taken to the hospital and treated for his injuries.

The people in the cargo truck were not hurt.
