Local High Schools Honor Soldiers, Vets at Football Games

Posted:

Two local high schools will honor soldiers and veterans Friday night at their football games.

Grand Ledge is hosting its annual "Fallen Hero Night." Players will wear the name of a soldier who died at war on the back of their jerseys.

Nearly 150 family members of those soldiers are expected to be at the game.

In Charlotte, you can honor a veteran or an active-duty soldier by donating a commermorative camoflague jersey. Those jerseys will be worn by players during the game and will have the name of the person being honored.

Jersey's are available for $100 and all proceeds will benefit the VFW National Home for Children.
