Flags Placed at MIS to Remember 9-11

Posted:

BROOKLYN, Mich. (WLNS) – Community members came to the Michigan International Speedway to honor those that died on September 11th.

Members of the community joined MIS staff Friday in placing flags at Unity Field to honor and remember the victims and heroes of 9-11. Each of the 3,000 flags represent a person who died from the terrorist attacks.

They are all a part of a lead-up to the speedway's Spirit of America events on Tuesday.
