High School Girl Dies in Car Crash

Posted:

Students in the Fowlerville District are mourning the loss of a fellow student killed in a crash early Sunday morning.

According to our media partners at WHMI, 16-year-old Mariah Ashley Jean Lloyd died in an accident in Ionia County after a car ran a stop sign causing a collision with a pickup truck.

Several others were injured in the crash and alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

Police have confirmed not everyone was buckled up.
