Funeral arrangements are set for the 39-year-old police officer and married father of four who was fatally shot in a Detroit suburb.
Elton Black & Son Funeral Home says a funeral Mass for Officer Pat O'Rourke is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John the Evangelist Parish in Fenton, followed by a cemetery service.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 2-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home in Oakland County's Highland Township.
Governor Rick Snyder has also ordered flags to fly at half staff Friday to honor the fallen officer.
Authorities say former auto executive Ricky Cooley was facing business and family troubles fired on police responding to a call at his home on Sunday night, killing the West Bloomfield Township officer and sparking a 20-hour siege that ended with the suspect dead amid a weapons-strewn bedroom. An autopsy report showed that the 50-year-old commit suicide.
A vigil was also held for Officer O'Rourke on Tuesday in front of the West Bloomfield Police Station.
