Canadian Automakers Strike Impacts Lansing

Posted:

Thousands of Canadian Auto Workers could hit the picket lines Tuesday if negotiators fail to reach a deal with the Big Three American Automakers by midnight Monday.

Union officials say they're focused on reaching an agreement with Ford because the company has shown a willingness to negotiate.

The CAW represents about 20,000 workers across Ford, GM and Chrysler.

Parts from Canadian plants are used in vehicles built here in Lansing.
