Mid-Michigan Gas Prices Continue to Climb

Posted:

The average price of gas is up about a dime from a week ago according to AAA.

Prices typically drop after Labor Day, but several events both here in the U.S. and across the globe have kept prices high: tensions in the Middle East, the German bailout of the Eurozone and the U.S. refinery shutdowns due to Hurricane Isaac.

However, gas prices are expected to go down soon as refineries shift to a winter blend.
