Woman Arrested for Drunk Driving with Kids in the Car

A woman was arrested Thursday morning for drunk driving with two young children in the car.

She had a blood-alcohol level of 0.16, just missing Michigan's "super drunk law."

According to our media partner MLiveJackson Police officer Richard Burkart stopped the woman just before 12:30 a.m. near Third and Biddle streets, said Deputy Chief John Holda.

She had been arrested at least twice before for drunken driving and was booked into the Jackson County Jail on a felony operating while intoxicated charge. She was also driving on a suspended license.
