Michigan's Agriculture has Growth Potential

Michigan's agricultural sector has the potential to grow significantly according to a new report released by the Michigan Agribusiness Association.

The report titled "Project 2025" predicts that crop yields will continue growing as a result of technological advances in seed and crop management. The report also said that the state's infrastructure will be challenged to keep up with this growth, but that the investment will increase profits.

"As yields increase per acre, as technology improves, as crop nutrition strategy and seeding technology changes farmers are going to be growing more per acre. That means more income more revenue and more opportunities," said President of Jim Byrum.

Agriculture is the state's second largest industry.
