Michigan National Guard Soldiers to Return Home

Following a 12-month tour of duty in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, more than 100 Michigan Army National Guard Soldiers from the Wyoming-based 126th Cavalry Squadron are expected to return home. The Soldiers are scheduled to arrive on Saturday at the Gerald R. Ford Airport in Grand Rapids in two separate mid-morning flights and will travel to their respective armory cities for homecoming ceremonies that both begin at 1 p.m.

  • B Troop ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Manistee Armory, 555 1st Street, Manistee.
  • C Troop ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. Sept. 22 at Dowagiac High School, 701 West Prairie Ronde Street.
