Dogs and Advocates March at Capitol to Regulate Breeding

Dogs and dog advocates lined up at the state capitol to promote laws that regulate breeding facilities in Michigan.

The group planned to ask lawmakers to pass two bills. The Pet Lemon Law Bill is aimed at protecting people who buy sick animals from breeders and pet stores. The Puppy Protection Act would help prevent puppy mills from being established.

Local animal shelters sponsored the puppy parade event which kicked off at 1:30p.m. Tuesday.
