The Jackson City Council has officially named Patrick Burtch as the "Interim City Manager".
Former City Manager Larry Shaffer resigned. Our media partners at the Jackson Citizen Patriot report, at the time, Burtch took on the title of "Acting City Manager," but that didn't sit well with some council members, so the group voted to change it Tuesday night.
The council has not started searching for a new city manager yet.
