Army National Guard Soldiers Return Home Today

More than 100 Michigan Army National Guard soldiers will be stepping on home soil today, after spending a year overseas.

Soldiers from the Flint-based 125th Infantry Battalion just completed a 12 month tour of duty in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

While in Afghanistan, the unit carried out security missions and helped Afghan National Police.

Soldiers from the same battalion arrived in Lansing on Sunday.

The 110 arriving today will touch down at the Michigan National Guard Joint Forces Headquarters at around 7:40 am.
