EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- For the second year in a row, ESPN's College GameDay shone a national spotlight on MSU for Saturday's game against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
The cable television sports show arrived on campus earlier this week, and hundreds of fans came out early Saturday morning to attend the outdoor taping.
This is the sixth time in MSU's history that College GameDay has made an appearance in East Lansing for the Spartans.
"You get on GameDay [and] the whole week is exciting," says MSU head basketball coach Tom Izzo. "And this setting, it's incredible and one of the coolest settings I've ever seen. So give our people here credit, give ESPN credit and give our team a lot of credit because if it wasn't for them, we wouldn't be on."
At the end of the show, GameDay broadcasters predicted Ohio State would win today's game. The Buckeyes defeated the Spartans 17-16.
