Effort to Keep Drugs Out of the Hands of Kids

An effort across the state Saturday to keep prescription drugs out of the wrong hands.

State Police posts across Mid-Michigan were involved in a drug take-back program sponsored by the DEA.

Officers collected hundreds of bottles of old prescription drugs which the DEA will eventually pick-up and incinerate.

State police say the take-back program allows people to keep their old drugs out of the reach of children and others that might misuse them. It also ensures they're disposed of properly.
