Humane Society Hosts Send Off For Abused Dog

A dog that gained notoriety after someone tortured her and left her for dead is getting a new home.

The plight of Tatiana gained attention across the state after someone found her in January of 2011. She had been beaten, tied up, and left outside to freeze.

Caregivers had to work with her everyday, healing her both physically and emotionally.

Because of her specific needs, Tatiana couldn't be placed in a home via traditional adoption.

Instead, she'll head to her permanent home at Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary in Lake Odessa.

The Humane Society hosted a going away party for Tatiana on Tuesday afternoon.
