Ingham County Sheriffs Department are still investigating the death of a woman who died early Friday morning.

 Deputies say someone who happened to drive by reported that they found a damaged vehicle covered by some kind of blanket or tarp with the body of a woman inside.

 The car was found in Bunker Hill Township along Parman and Murray road.

 "Once it left the roadway and struck the trees, there was a lot of damage in the impact," said Detective Ted Harrison Ingham County Sheriff Department.

A smashed up Chevy has left the Ingham County Sheriff's Department with a lot of questions.

"At approximately 8am we responded to a traffic crash at Parman and Murray road, a one vehicle traffic crash," said Sgt. Jeff Weiss Ingham County Sheriff Department.

It turned into a fatal crash when the rescue team found 25 year old Shayla Watchmaker dead inside the car.

"We had to remove the drivers rear door, we had to clipped the b-pillars at the bottom and the top that gained us the access that we needed to get to the victim," said Cpt. Steve Dekett Ingham County Rescue Team.

Police say they also found Samuel Watchmaker III, Shayla's husband, at a nearby home and based upon his injuries believed he was also involved in the crash. He was taken to a local hospital.

Ingham county sheriffs department says the vehicle was traveling north on Parman road when they suddenly lost control did a 180 and landed in the ditch.

It's left the department questioning how fast the vehicle was going.

"That's out of the ordinary, the speed that could be obtained from the stop sign or even on the turn onto this roadway from here and getting the speed to get off the roadway and cause the damage that it did," Detective Harrison said.

One of the questions that the department will look to solve in the coming days.

Samuel Watchmaker is currently listed in "stable condition" at a local hospital.

 Ingham County tells 6 News the watchmakers were just recently married.

The crash is still under investigation.
