Ann Romney makes surprise stop in Lansing

It wasn't on the itinerary, but when Lansing was on the way from Hudsonville, Michigan to the Detroit suburb of Franklin, it apparently was a good place to pull over for the Republican campaign for the White House.

Ann Romney, the wife of Republican presidential hopeful, Mitt Romney, stopped at the Peanut Shop in Lansing late this morning.

The trip through Michigan was planned, but the stop-over in Lansing wasn't initially a part of the trip.

For the record, Mrs. Romney bought almonds, cashews and some "sour jelly pumpkins" for the grandchildren.

She was quoted by the Detroit News as having remarked "I love it here".
