Livingston County Woman Files Lawsuit Against Tainted Steroid Maker


A Livingston County woman is filing a lawsuit against the maker of the tainted steroid after being diagnosed with Fungal Meningitis.

46 year-old Brenda Bansale filed the lawsuit against the New England Compounding Center on Monday in a U.S. District Court.

The lawsuit says the Massachusetts-based pharmaceutical company was selling large quantities of medicines. However, it was only licensed to fill small, specialty prescriptions.

The lawsuit is open to any Michigan Resident who received the drug or was exposed to it.
