Armed Robber Targets Subway Restaurant in Lansing

Posted:

It was an unsettling situation for employees at a Lansing business after a man walked into their store with a weapon.

The masked, armed robbery happened about 9:30 Wednesday night at the Subway restaurant on the 1600 block of East Michigan Avenue.

Officials tell us the man walked in and told the employee he had a weapon, he then stole some cash and took off running.

LPD tried to track him with a K-9, but was unsuccessful.

Police say he's African American, about 5'9 to 5'10, roughly 170 to 190 pounds with a muscular build.

He was last seen wearing a red wind breaker with dark colored sweat pants.

If you have any information, call the Lansing Police Department.
