MSU Chemistry Professor Dies After Collapsing on Campus

A man who suffered a medical emergency while jogging on MSU's campus has died.

Police had asked for help identifying the man Wednesday night after finding him without any ID near Erickson Hall.

According to an MSU Communications Director, officers found two students administering him CPR when he was taken to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, where he died overnight.

6 News learned that man was 58-year-old professor Gregory Baker, who worked in the chemistry department.

There's no word yet on just what caused his death.
