Teen Pleads Guilty After Hitting Staffer In High School Lot

Posted:

A Livingston County teenager accused of running into a school security guard with his car has pled guilty to a crime.

That's according to our media partners at WHMI-FM.

Sheriff's deputies say the 16-year-old had been "huffing" - or getting high on inhalants - before he ran into Susan Hazzard at Hartland High School back in May.

He pled guilty on Monday to operating a vehicle while intoxicated and causing injury.

Hazzard survived, but spent time in the hospital recovering from her injuries.

The student, who was later expelled from school, was charged as a juvenile and will be back in court for sentencing on November 19th.
