Truckers Say They Can't Avoid the Highway, Despite Shootings

The recent string shootings are a concern for many commuters who take that stretch of the highway, but many truckers who travel at every hour are also voicing their concerns.

Hitchcock's drivers travel mostly to Lansing and Chelsea and drive on the stretch of the highway where shootings have been reported. He tells them to take all precautions when they're on the road.

 

Hitchcock says driving a semi is difficult enough on its own and he's even more worried now that drivers have to watch out for stray bullets. @

Truckers are required by law to take a Class-A roads and can't avoid the highway.
