Ingham County Confirms No New Cases In Serial Shootings

 Rumors are swirling about several people having been shot at on I-96 from a serial shooter.

However, as of noon Thursday, Ingham County officials tell 6 News no new cases have happened since Thursday, October 18th.

So far, investigators say 23 cars have been damaged by bullets along I-96 and M-52. All the cases happened between Tuesday, October 16 and Thursday, October 18. The shootings span across four counties: Ingham, Livingston, Oakland and Shiawassee.

A task force created to catch the shooter says it has matched bullets found in Livingston and Oakland counties to one gun.

Investigators ask anyone with information to call 1-800-Speak-Up. They are offering a $12,000 reward to anyone who can provide information leading to an arrest.
