Ballistics has now confirmed that evidence recovered from shootings in Oakland, Livingston and Ingham counties all came from the same firearm.
No new shootings have occurred since Thursday, October 18. Investigators are working through over 400 tips as of Friday morning.
Laboratory testing continues to take place on ballistic evidence that has been recovered from the recent shootings in Oakland, Livingston, Ingham, and Shiawassee Counties. Both the Michigan State Police Forensic Laboratory and the Oakland County Sheriff's Office Forensic Laboratory expedited the analysis of this evidence to assist in law enforcement efforts.
