Snyder Takes Ballot Proposals Message on Road

Posted:

LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Governor Rick Snyder is taking a road trip to sway state voters toward his way of thinking on six proposals on the November 6 general election ballot.

MLive.com reports Friday that Snyder will swing Monday morning through Grand Rapids.

He plans to also make stops in Marquette in the Upper Peninsula and at least nine other cities before his final bus tour stop Thursday night in Detroit.

Snyder has said he believes Proposal 1 -- a referendum on the state's emergency manager law he signed into law in 2011 -- should be passed. He says proposals 2 through 6 should be voted down.

Spokeswoman Sara Wurfel says the tour is "to hit as many communities as we can to talk to as many Michiganders as we can."
