Tigers Lose World Series

The San Francisco Giants sweept the Detroit Tigers Sunday night in four games of the World Series.

The Giants beat the Tigers, 4-3, in 10 innings of play.  It's the Giant's second World Series title in just three years.

Detroit tied the game in the 6th inning after a solo home run by Delmon Young.  But an RBI single by Marco Scutaro in the top of the 10th gave the Giants the win.

In the ninth inning of the game, Tigers second baseman Omar Infante, broke his hand from a pitch by Giant reliever, Santiago Casilla.

The Tigers have now lost seven straight World Series games, dating back to the 2006 World Series.  Detroit lost that series to St. Louis in five games.
