Highway Shooter Reward Rises to $102,000

Investigators have raised the reward from $12,000 to $102,000 for any information that may lead to an arrest in the highway shootings. $50,000 is coming from FBI, $50,000 is coming from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and $2,000 from CrimeStoppers.

As of Monday morning, over 600 tips have come in via:

  • Michigan Crime Stoppers (1-800-SPEAK-UP)
  • Citizens walking into Police/Sheriff Departments
  • Telephone Calls
  • Training completed with Wixom PD staff in proper tip-taking methods
  • Dispatch Centers

The task force, which was established on October 19th, is made up of over 100 members from Wixom Police, Oakland County Sheriff, Livingston County Sheriff, Ingham County Sheriff, Shiawassee County Sheriff, Michigan State Police, Michigan State University Police, South Lyon Police, Lansing Police, East Lansing Police and the Michigan DNR.
