Man Struck by Bullet Speaks Out About Highway Shootings

Posted:

A bullet hit a Barry County man in the backside as he drove eastbound on I-96 Saturday afternoon and now he's speaking out about the incident.

Scott Arnold was driving alone on his way to the World Series game in Detroit when a bullet pierced his drivers side door and hit him. He was one of two cars hit over the weekend.

Arnold entered a nearby gas station in Fowlerville to ask for help (see surveillance video here).

Arnold told a reporter in Grand Rapids the bullet came through his car at a low angle and grazed the top of the driver's side seat. He says it went through his left side just missing his artery. Arnold said he did not have surgery, as previously reported, but did go to the hospital for observation. He says the bullet is lodged in the part of his body where the hip bones come together in the socket.

Arnold believes the shooter was either driving westbound on I-96 or was on the other side of traffic, perhaps in a tree when the shots were fired.
