A brother and sister accused of robbing a Jackson Credit Union earlier this month will go to trial. A Jackson judge also determined Wednesday that the brother, 20-year old Kesean Wilson will face an additional felony charge.
Two bank employees and a customer all testified.
Kesean Wilson did show some remorse three weeks ago during the robbery at the Jackson City County Credit Union. One of the bank tellers said the he appologized, saying he "had to do this for his family."
Wilson showed more emotion in court as prosecutors made their case against him and his sister 17-year-old Breanna Crawford.
The customer said that he felt something hard against his head, to find a gun pointed at his forehead. He said Wilson told him "not to be a hero and get on the ground."
Investigators say they spotted the getaway car and caught up with it after a short chase ended with the car crashing into a house. The pair wasn't found until later when Crawford called police from the hospital and detectives found Wilson in a dumpster.
During a hostpial interview with detectives, Crawford said the two recently visited their mom in prison and found out she wanted $20,000 to publish a book.
"I guess he took that to heart. And he wanted to help my mom out. [He said] we gotta do this, I'm about to make this move," Crawford said in a recording.
There was some debate over whether Crawford should face the same charges since she never actually took the money or held the gun. The judge did decided to keep all charges against her.
