MSP Troopers Deploy To New Jersey In Sandy’s Aftermath

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Two dozen troopers with the Michigan State Police deployed Sunday morning from Jackson to assist New Jersey law enforcement post-Hurricane Sandy.

MSP officials say New Jersey State police requested their assistance last Thursday. The 24 troopers will work out of New Jersey from November 5 through November 9.

First Lt. Mike Krumm of Jackson says his team will work in some of the areas hardest hit by Hurricane Sandy, and will help New Jersey State Police maintain order in the aftermath of the storm.
