Police Investigate Possible Assault On MSU Student

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Police are investigating a possible assault on a student at Michigan State University after a 20-year-old man was found injured in a parking lot in downtown East Lansing early Sunday morning.

Officials say they found the victim around 8 a.m. with a head injury in Lot 1 on Albert Street. They say he was alone and that his injury left him unable to communicate details to them. He was taken to an area hospital where he went into surgery.

Officials say it is possible he had been drinking.

They also say the injury could have been caused by a fall, but they are investigating it as an assault.
