Police: Jackson Woman Stabs Man in Chest


A Jackson woman accused of stabbing her ex-boyfriend in the chest is schedule to face a judge Tuesday.

It happened around 4:30 Monday afternoon.

Police say they were called to a home on the 1400 block of Mound Avenue. There, police say the 21-year-old woman stabbed a 27-year-old man. He was taken to the hospital, but is expected to survive.

The suspect was later found near Blackstone and Franklin Streets and arrested.
