Meningitis Numbers Continue to Rise from Outbreak

Posted:

The number of fungal meningitis cases slowly continue to rise across the nation.

There are now 480 cases and 33 deaths across the country. In Michigan, numbers also continue to increase. There's nearly 160 people infected and nine deaths.

The outbreak was caused by steroid shots produced at a Massachusettes pharmacy. That pharmacy has been shut down and was investigated by U.S. House and Senate panels this week.
