Along with the Silver Bells Parade, Jackson will also have it's annual Christmas Parade. Many business have been preparing for an increase in foot traffic after last year's turnout was so strong.
"Really crazy for a good two hours, I'd say. People like to wait in the cold, they like their coffee and hot chocolate," said Courtney Head, the Jackson Coffee Co. manager.
"Jackson Coffee Company" gets a big boost Friday. It'll go through about 20 gallons of hot chocolate, not to mention lots of other hot drinks.
"We're having two extra people help out tonight, and it's still going to be busy for them," said Head.
Over at "A Sign Above," there's also lots of anticipation, not just for their business, but the downtown community as a whole.
"It's amazing to have so many people come downtown Jackson for the parade because it also lets them know we are here and there are a lot of businesses downtown Jackson. And we're ready to serve our customers and serve our community, by giving back to them as much as they give to us," said owner Wendy Clifton.
