Intruder Accidentally Shoots Victim in Leg

Lansing Police are looking for the man who robbed a home and shot a man in the leg.

It all unfolded just after 1a.m. Monday. Investigators say the gunman broke into the man's home on the 1500 block of Marquette, near MLK Blvd.

When he got in, he ordered the victim to get on the ground. That's when police say the suspect tripped and accidentally shot the man in the leg. He then got away with some items from the home.

The suspect is described as an African American man, 35 to 40 years old, 5'6" and around 180 pounds. He was last seen with a beard, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and a white knit hat.

Police believe he got into an older model gold blazer.
