AG Schuette Brings Down Mortgage Fraud Charges


Attorney General Bill Schuette brought a racketeering charge against the former president of a document processing company Monday.

Lorraine Brown is accused of authorizing the fraudulent signing of mortgage documents in Kent County.

Last week, she pleaded guilty to a federal charge in Florida and reached a plea deal in a case in Missouri.

The charge here is a 20-year-felony.
