Lansing Proposes Firework Ordinance Change

The Lansing City Council will hold a public hearing on proposed changes to the fireworks ordinance.

Local leaders are thinking about limiting the days you can set off fireworks. Under the plan, people would need a license to set off fireworks except for the day before, the day of, and the day after a national holiday, which might help some people get a good night's sleep.

If you would like to go to the public hearing, Monday's city council meeting takes place at city hall and starts at 7p.m.

Our Nick Perreault will be there and have a report on 6 News at 11.
