Cop Critically Injured In Early Morning Crash

A serious accident this morning leaves a DeWitt Township police officer fighting for his life.

Police say the 31-year-old officer was responding to a call when he lost control of his patrol car, hit a utility pole, and then several trees.

It happened early this morning on West Herbison Road near Sand Hill Drive.

We're told the officer was wearing his safety belt.
