Brookhaven Retreat, a unique mental health treatment facility exclusively for women with mental health and/or substance abuse issues, will usher in the new year using its Poncho® Program to redefine women’s lives.

Knoxville, TN (PRWEB) December 05, 2012

With the new year fast approaching, Brookhaven Retreat prepares to usher it in with 30 resolutions rather than one: each resolution made to maintain care in all 30 critical aspects of life included in the Poncho® Program.

The Poncho® Program focuses on redefining belief systems and values in order to reevaluate and address key aspects of a woman’s life affected by substance abuse, addictive behavior, trauma and mental health issues. It is timely for the new year as it highlights the 30 important aspects of a woman’s life that can be improved to maintain lasting recovery.

A balanced mixture of treatment in six life areas contributes to successful treatment: physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, social and environmental needs must all be addressed. The Poncho® Program focuses on each individual aspect of a woman’s life in order to create a healthy whole. With the help of counselors, therapists, coaching support and other women, women learn to take charge of their lives area by area.

The all-encompassing nature of the program ensures that no aspect of a woman’s life has not been reviewed, thus helping to create security and success in recovery. When all aspects of life are addressed, women benefit from increased confidence and the clarity required to return to life after recovery. No aspect becomes vulnerable, creating higher recovery rates.

Some of the areas the program addresses include: mental health, legal issues, travel, employment, marriage and family, spirituality and routines. Women start with the most important areas and finish with less critical areas on an individual basis.

For the new year, Brookhaven Retreat focuses on the importance of making 30 resolutions rather than one: if women build dependable support systems and maintain healthy lives in all 30 aspects, they live happier, healthier lives.
