Angel Christmas Tree Project Gives Christmas to 400 Kids

Some less fortunate children from Jackson will still get a visit from Santa Claus this year thanks to the Angel Christmas Tree Project.

The Jackson County Department of Human Services runs the toy drive every year, with donations from people in the community and corporations. This year, more people than ever signed up to help a child at Christmas giving a record of 400 children gifts to open. But it might be the parents who are really stuggling right now who will benefit the most.

Unfortunately the DHS couldn't accomodate hundreds more families who applied for Angel Tree. If anyone would still like to help a needy child this season, the organization suggests contacting the Salvation Army or Toys for Tots.
