A Lansing man faces a series of charges after police and prosecutors accused him of kidnapping and rape.
Craig Ford faces five charges that also include assault and larceny.
Police say they got a call from a woman just before 4 a.m. on Wednesday.
She told them that a man, later identified as Ford, picked her up in Lansing, took her to nearby Alaiedon Township, and attacked her.
She ran off and went to a neighbor's house.
Police say they picked Ford up within the next half-hour.
Doctors treated the victim at Sparrow Hospital.
The 40-year-old Ford remains at the Ingham County Jail without bond. He's scheduled to appear in court on December 18th.
