Woman Found Dead In Red Cedar River

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- Lansing Police say a woman was found dead floating in the Red Cedar River near Aurelius and Mt. Hope Saturday around 11:45 a.m.

The Capital Area Dive Team recovered the woman's body Saturday afternoon.

Police say she appears to be between 20 - 30 years old.

LPD is investigating this death as a homicide. The woman's body has been turned over to the Ingham Medical Examiner for forensic testing.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 483-STOP.
