Jesse Jackson, Jim Hoffa Attend Capitol Protests

The "stars" are coming out for the protests at the Capitol.

The Rev. Jesse Jackson, a long-time civil rights leader, appeared at the Capitol to rally and pray with protesters upset about the "Right To Work" laws.

Jackson said he felt he needed to be in Lansing to protest the bills because he says they'll hurt the economy and working people.

So does Jim Hoffa, Jr. son of legendary union leader Jimmy Hoffa. The younger Hoffa followed in his father's footsteps and is the president of the Teamsters union.

"This bill will tear Michigan apart," Hoffa told the crowd. "You need to end this war on workers!"

Emerald Morrow talked to Jackson and we'll have his comments tonight on 6 News.
