Stunned by the tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut last Friday, a student at Olivet college said she had to do something.
25-year-old Patty Groh designed the shirt that she's now selling on Facebook to pay tribute to 26 of the victims.
"On the day it happened, I posted a Facebook post that said all we can do is sit here and watch the news. I mean, i'm in Michigan, what can i do?" asked Groh.
But she decided to take control. Groh designed the shirt with kelly green and white, the Sandy Hook Elementary School's colors. On the front are stick figures: six women, 12 girls and 8 boys. On the back are the 26 names.
Sports Shop in Mason is making the tees at cost, so half of every $10 shirt will go to the victims.
"Some of the children lost their best friend that day and you have to tell a 6-year-old that their friend died," said Groh.
10 orders already, most from people she doesn't know in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Ohio and New Jersey. She says she's not keeping her goal of selling 1,000 shirts and raising $5,000 by the new year.
"All's I want to know is how many people they've shared it with, to be honest. How many people they've reached."
