Woman Charged in Husband's Stabbing


A woman has been charged after police say she allegedly stabbed her husband. Police say the assault started with an argument, when the woman stabbed the man in his back with a knife

20-year-old Christian Newbern of Lansing is charged with felony assault with a dangerous weapon. She's being held on $5,000 bond and is due back in court January 7.

The man was taken to a local hospital, where is expected to survive.

The incident happened on the 1100 block of Eaton Ct. Wednesday afternoon.
