Michigan Records 19 Traffic Deaths Over Holidays


State police say more people died on Michigan roads this holiday season and that alcohol played a big role.

Records show from December 21st through New Years Day, 19 people died in traffic-related accidents. Half of those deaths involved alcohol. Seven people were not wearing seat belts.

Records from the same period last year show 14 people died in traffic crashes.
