Department of Transportation Invests $25 Million in MI Roads


The Michigan Department of Transportation is investing $25 million to improve several busy roadways.

Those projects will focus on US-127, Grand River Avenue, MLK and I-496.

Work starts along I-496 Monday. Crews will be making improvements to the Clemens Street Bridge over the highway. This is one of 34 bridges along the I-496 cooridor that will be repaired.

Expect to see a shoulder closure on the highway, as well as intermittent night and weekend closures.

This work is expected to wrap up this june.
