Opening Statements for Kowalski Case

Opening statements are scheduled to begin Tuesday for Jerome Kowalski.

The 66-year-old Detroit area man is accused of killing his brother and sister-in-law in their Livingston County home in 2008.

Kowalski is facing two counts of open murder and a felony firearms charge.

According to our media partners at WHMI, Kowalski confessed to the crime, but his attorney says the statement was only offered after a prolonged interrogation.

Jurors are expected to hear the police interrogation interview as well as see crime scene photos in court.
