One Injured, Road Closes In Early Morning Accident

One person is in the hospital after an early morning accident.
It happened just after 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the intersection of M-43 (E. Grand Ledge Hwy.) and Oneida Road in Eaton County, just west of Grand Ledge.
A van was heading west on M-43 and stopped to turn left onto Oneida Road when it was rear-ended by another car.
The driver of the van hit was from Grand Ledge and escaped serious injury. The other man, from Mulliken, was pinned in the vehicle and had to be removed by rescue crews.
Deputies closed the road shortly after the accident, but is now re-opened.
